Volunteer During a Yoga Retreat!
*We do not require any vet and/or medical experience in order to volunteer with us*
By signing up for GLOW Yoga Retreats Safari Kenya Retreat in Kenya, you are NOT required to participate in the volunteer options available.
Please note that the volunteer/visitation day will be from 12 pm - 5 pm. We only have a half day scheduled there, so that you can still participate in the yoga class and safari.
All volunteers should be comfortable with animals and children.
Please note that Kindred Connection's organizers, teachers, and/or other volunteers are not responsible for any injuries, illnesses, and/or mishaps which may arise as a result of animal interaction during the volunteer hours, or thereafter.
During our visit to Mt. Kenya Wildlife Conservancy, we've organized to have a group of 50 school children from a local orphanage to join us.
The purpose of bringing local children to the conservancy is to spread awareness about wildlife conservation within their own community starting at a young age.
Although the day will certainly be fun for the children, it will also be educational, as well.
Volunteers will serve to facilitate activities for the children, and ensure the day runs as smoothly as possible.
Beyond assisting the children, volunteers will also have the opportunity to interact with a variety of animals on site.
They are expected to do so in a respectful manner at all times.
Please note that due to government policy, Mt. Kenya Wildlife Conservancy does not accept international volunteers with the animals.
The main purpose of our volunteers being there is to bridge the gap of understanding between local youth and wildlife.
