In 2019, Kindred Connection is partnering with local organization PPBC Foundation to create a project that offers a free spay/neuter and vaccination clinic for dogs and cats in Siargao, Philippines.
The funds raised will be used to cover spay/neuter and vaccinations for the dogs and cats brought into the clinics. Beyond the surgeries, these funds were also be used to support these same animals afterwards, as well. This includes covering outstanding vet bills, additional surgery, medication, procedures and boarding. During the time of the clinics, we've created a Volunteer Outreach Program to not only aid in fundraising to make the project possible, but also to ensure that the dogs have the utmost quality and hand-on assistance during their recovery process.
The mission of this particular project is to uplift the overall quality of life for each dog, as well as decrease the rampant population growth and spreading of STDs/cancers of canines on the island. We aim to unify the community by encouraging locals and foreigners, alike, to join our Volunteer Program. We also strived to elevate awareness of the mistreatment, abuse, and suffering of dogs and other living beings on the island. Our longterm goal is to create a shelter where dogs can live outside (not in a cage!) until they are adopted. |
