Room Information

Lotus Shores Siargao:

Nestled within the jungles of a wave-fringed island, the Lotus Shores Yoga, Surf & Farm Retreat is a commune for yogis, seekers, surfers, and conscious adventurers traveling to Siargao to rest, manifest, connect, get barreled and (or) enlightened.

It was founded on the goal of Yoga, the realization of the unity of Being, often experienced in the act of wave-riding. Life at the retreat is a celebration, exploration and preservation of the sacred wisdom that yoga and surfing have to teach us about ourselves and the world around us. The commune is home to the island’s only yoga center, Yoga Dojo, and Kali Ma Cafe, a plant-based kitchen and restaurant

General Luna & Siargao Island:

General Luna is a coastal down that is known as the main tourist area of Siargao Island, Philippines.
It is about 30 - 45 minutes from the only domestic airport.
General Luna and Cloud 9 has become a well-known tourist destination due to the variety of world renowned surf breaks all within a 5 kilometer stretch. Whether you surf or not- Siargao's clear, turquoise water and white sand beaches are inviting for everyone!
Although the island is currently becoming more popular, and tourism is increasing- it's still quite undeveloped compared to other popular surf islands in Asia (like Bali). There are now a variety of places to eat which are suitable for all diets.
Prepare to be mind blown by the generous hospitality of Filipino people, as you'll always be greeted with an ear-to-ear grin. English is widely spoken in this area, so getting around will be quite easy. Although people are beautiful and kind, their relationships to animals (particularly dogs and cats) might not be the same standard that you're used to at home. Please know that this difference is not coming from a place of violence nor intentional mistreatment.
All in all, there are SO many beautiful pockets of the island to explore by land or by sea. We assure you that you won't want to leave!

Additional Travel Tips & Advice:

-We strongly suggest arriving 1 - 2 days early in case there are any flight and/or boat disturbances. It's best to plan on staying one night in either Cebu or Manila before flying to Siargao to ensure you'll make your flight on time.

-We also strongly suggest staying a few days after if you can. There's so much to see and do on the island that you might not have time to squeeze in during the week of the retreat. We're here to help with further travel/tour suggestions if you'd like help.

-Bring YOUR OWN LOCAL CURRENCY to exchange money while you're there. ATMs are sparse, and often troublesome. If you're coming in from Cebu or Manila beforehand, you can also withdraw pesos from an ATM at those airports/cities, as well. Make sure to notify your bank of your travel plans.

-Prepare for your patience to be tested. People function on island time here, which means you probably won't experience the same level of service that you're used to at home. This is a great way to bring the flexibility of your yoga practice off of the mat, and into your day-to-day life.

-We can arrange airport transport for you upon arrival ($6/300 pesos/person to be paid directly to the driver). Please note that you must pay your driver in pesos, not USD.

-Most people get around by motorbike or scooter. If you're not comfortable driving, you can also hire tuk tuks, habal-habal (motorbike taxi), or cars. Because the town is so small, it's also quite easy to walk, as well.

-Siargao is very tropical. October is a transition time from dry to wet season (think Autumn). It's very possible that it will rain at some point every day. You can always purchase cheap ponchos and other rain gear on the island, if you don't want to pack them. Regardless of rain, it will be hot all day & warm throughout the night.
