We are so grateful for your support in this endeavor. Please know that whichever volunteer package you choose will include a volunteer donation, which makes this project possible.
Funds Raised Will Cover:
-Flying PPBC Foundation vets from Manila (about $450 total to fly 3 vets round trip with bags)
-Spay/neuter for dog (PPBC Foundation charges us roughly $10/dog, we tend to treat a minimum of 75 dogs daily)
-Rabies vaccinations (roughly $2/injection, we hope to buy enough to treat 200 dogs)
-Your accommodation at Lotus Shores if you book a COMPLETE PACKAGE (Lotus Shores is offering us discounted rooms rates for our volunteers to support our projects- shared rooms are roughly $25/night)
-Your cost of breakfast at Lotus Shores (cost is roughly $5-$6/person daily)
-Tools/devices for the animals (cages, leashes, muzzles, etc)
-Food for dogs (we provide a bag of food for every dog who undergoes the procedure, which works out to roughly $150 total)
-Lunch for vets (roughly $10/daily)
-Accommodation for vets (roughly $50/nightly)
-Transport for vets and supplies (roughly $50/daily plus $50 fuel total)
-Vet bills for animals in severe need (emergency surgeries, boarding, medical care- these prices vary depending on the condition of the animal)
-Emergency needs (additional medical equipment, supplies, etc)
-Kennels, leashes, muzzles, and other equipment for the animals as needed
-Chemo treatments for dogs with rampant STDs on the island ($50/chemo round, most dogs need 3 rounds)
-All funds collected in the donation jar at the clinics will be given directly to the vets as a bonus
When we have left over funds, we use this money to treat dogs and cats for various medical needs.
We cover surgeries, medicine, vaccinations, boarding, food, immediate AND longterm care of these animals by partnering with the local vet on the island.
